Time felt like it had stopped completely at that moment. Though you wanted to see him again, you didn't want it to be this way. You didn't fear for yourself as much as you feared for Steve's safety. You also felt guilty. You knew this would happen sooner or later, but it happened MUCH sooner than you had anticipated.

"Hello there, my precious little dove! Did you miss me? Because I sure did!" he snickers in the most sinister way possible. 

Steve looks at you shocked, "Y-you two already knew each other??"

"Steve... I..." You are are a loss of words. He was about to find out the truth about you, and you would not be able to prevent it.

"Oh? You never told him, ________? So he doesn't know who you truly are yet. This is so RICH!" he shouts excitedly. "And as for you, Steve..." Herobrine grabs him by his throat and teleports him near a rocky wall, and chokes him against it, keeping Steve lifted from the ground. "We have unfinished business!" he scowls at Steve. "What makes you think I was going to simply let you woo the one I had already chosen to be mines?" You couldn't help but blush brightly at his rather arrogant statement.

Steve grunts from pain and suffocation, trying to break free from Herobrine's grasp. "Ugh... W-what is... he... t-talking a-about... ______?"

"Please don't hurt him!! Just let him go!" you beg to Herobrine, only making his grip tighter. 

"Aaagh!" Steve screams from pain.

"Heh, maybe I will, if you tell him personally who you are." he grins.

You step back, about to refuse Herobrine's only option to spare Steve, but you had to do something, and quick. "OK! FINE! I WILL! Just let him go!" you shout reluctantly.

"Hmph!" grunting, he steps back, releasing his grip from Steve's throat, now falling down to his knees, coughing and holding his throat gasping for air trying to recover.

Steve then slowly lifts his head to look in your direction waiting for you to answer his question.

"Steve... I'm so sorry... I didn't want you to find out the truth this way... I never meant for any of this to happen. I never meant for you to get hurt." Tears slowly begin to swell in your eyes. "Carry on." Herobrine urges you to continue. "Ugh... Steve... I'm not exactly from this world..."

Steve's eyes widen up, confused and puzzled. "W-what do y-you mean?" his voice shivering and breaking up.

"I mean... I'm not from this world. I'm..." you pause and hesitate. Herobrine takes out his diamond sword and aims it at Steve, urging you to continue faster. "Aah...! DAMMIT!! I'm a human! I real life human from the human world! From the same world your creator Notch comes from!" you shout while looking down, unable to face Steve and look him in his eyes.

"W-what??!" he replies completely shocked, out of words. "B-but how is t-that even p-possible...?"

You finally gather up your courage to look him in the eyes. Herobrine chuckles, enjoying every second of it. "Herobrine brought me here... That's how we met..." Steve was now in total disbelief, heartbroken.

"Steve..." you try to think of something to comfort him, but he cuts you off immediately. "STOP IT! JUST STOP! SAY NO MORE!!" You cringe and step back from his angry shouting voice. "All this time... you lied to me... You told me you were not related to 'him' in any way... That you didn't want to know of him, or deal with him in any way..."

Herobrine laughs maniacally at Steve. "Ahahahaa!! If there's something I enjoy more than killing you, Steve, is to see you suffer more than anything, humiliated, defeated, and then, comes the killing part!" he snickers, raising his sword ready to strike.

"NOOOOO!!" you shout and run towards Steve to shield him from Herobrine's strike. "Hmph! What do you think you're doing?! MOVE!" he shouts angrily at you. Steve is shocked that you would try to protect him, but then he moves you away from him. "Please... Just leave me alone... I need time to think..."

Angry, you stand up to face Herobrine. "You know this is all your fault in the first place!" Herobrine stands back puzzled. "What the hell are you talking about?" he asks frowning.

"Then try to recall! The day you changed my gauze and bandages! You promised me an adventure together! But then the next day, where were you?? Huh? Where were you?!" You shout angrily at him. Steve remains quiet, shocked that you would dare to confront Herobrine.

"Tch! That's none of your concern!" he scowls at you.

"This whole mess could have been prevented, you know! You at least owe me that much! I had to rely on Steve to keep me safe while you were gone! Now tell me!" you stand your ground, but you were still scared.

Herobrine smirks at what you just said. "So you openly admit you used him." he laughs loudly. Steve's eyes widen up in total shock and disbelief.

You freeze for a moment, realizing what you just said, but then you shake your head, remaining firm. "Don't change the subject! Answer me now!"

He scoffs and glares at you, and remains silent for a moment, but then he finally speaks. "I was confronted by Notch..." he finally confess. "We had a clashing battle, but ultimately... I lost... resulting in my temporary... banishment." he grunts turning his head away to keep his angry glowing eyes away from you.

"I see..." you pause briefly, "Well that explains a lot of things-" You get cut off again. "But that doesn't explain the reason why you used me!" Steve yells at you, slowly getting back up from the ground. Startled, you step back a few steps away from him. "Why?!" He demands from you.

You remain frozen. You don't know what to say. It's true, you used him to protect you and keep you safe, hoping in the back of your head for Herobrine to return. "Steve... unlike you and Herobrine... I have a terrible weakness..." Steve looks at you puzzled. "Think Steve - what did you just learn what I am?" you ask to him. "Huh... That you are a real human?" he answers. "And...?" You add to his answer. Steve remains silent, trying to figure out what you are trying to say. "And that you are not part of this world?" he adds to his answer. "And...?" you add once again. Steve remains silent once more. You let go of a deep long sigh, figuring Steve would never guess the right answer. "Steve... If I ever die once, I don't respawn. Ever. I'll be gone for good. Game over forever."

Steve's eyes widen up again. He never thought of the possibility of losing you forever, thinking should he have ever failed to protect you even once, he would have lost you forever. "It's not true... please tell me it's not true! Why didn't you tell me this sooner?!" Tears finally begin to form around Steve's eyes. 

Herobrine finally steps in to cut the little 'touching' moment between you and Steve. "WELL, sorry to interrupt the both of you, but I've waited LONG enough!" he yells raising his sword at Steve again. You know there's no way you can stop Herobrine on your own, and you can't think of any possible options to help Steve either. For the first time, you feel totally useless. 'This was bound to happen... They will never stop fighting... It's like a never ending, tormenting cycle...' You think to yourself, as you remain there, watching.

"Yes it is, a never ending cycle. This is Minecraft after all. Nothing has meaning, unless we give it some." He chuckles at you. You realize he read your thoughts, making you upset. "D'aww! Don't look so down, my little dove. Tell you what, I am SO generous, I can end Steve's suffering here and now on the spot. If I kill him, he will respawn. When he does, he won't have any memories of you at all. If he doesn't remember you, he won't suffer, right?" he suggests with the most sinister look in his ever glowing eyes, chuckling, enjoying every second of this moment.

Steve steps back, withdrawing his enchanted Iron Sword from its sheath. Herobrine laughs at his 'courageous act'. "Don't you DARE mess with my memories! I don't want to ever forget about _______!!" Steve shouts angrily. "And why is that?" Herobrine asks amused. "You learned the truth about her, and you know she used you, so why then?" Steve remains silent for a moment. "Because unlike you, I know how to forgive!" Herobrine laughs loudly. "Forgive? You have already forgiven her?? HAH! You're even softer than I thought!" Steve chuckles, making Herobrine stay silent confused. "I didn't say I've forgiven her yet, though." Herobrine's eyes squint a little, unable to comprehend Steve's actions. 

"You always take everything that's dear to me, and this time, I won't let you take _______ away from me! Even if it kills me a thousand times over!" Steve shouts with much determination. You remain speechless. You didn't think Steve had so much fire in him. It's almost as if he's glowing brighter than a thousand suns. 

"Heh, while most of what you just said is true, that last part is actually quite the opposite." He grins. "I am the one who saw her first, I am the one who brought her here, and you're basically the one trying to 'steal' her from me."

Steve chuckles. "Well I guess this will be the official first time when I'll finally steal something from you!" Herobrine's expression turns angrier at the fact that Steve is rebelling against him for the first time in a long time. You couldn't help but feel upset at the fact that both Steve and Herobrine describe you as belonging to them as you haven't even officially chosen either one of them.

"So you finally bare your teeth at me. Come at me then! Hah!" He then lunges himself at Steve, swinging his diamond sword wildly. Without wasting any moment, they begin their fight. Steve struggles against Herobrine's ferocious attacks. He is strong, and he doesn't play fair.

The metallic clashing sounds coming from their swords begin to pound heavily in your head. From only several minutes later, Steve was already panting heavily as his stamina was quickly running low, but Herobrine looks like he still has plenty of energy left. Steve knows he won't be able to hold on for long, and as he notices that Herobrine is mostly focused on his sword attacks against him, he ducks quickly and swings a low kick attack, catching Herobrine off guard and making him fall on his back. "Ugh!" He groans angrily. "Didn't see that one coming..." he mumbles upset. Steve jumps at him, aiming his sword downward ready to stab Herobrine, but Hero quickly slaps sand on Stave's eyes, blinding him temporarily. "Aah!" Steve grunts from the irritation in his eyes, backing away quickly from Herobrine's range.

You gasp at the sudden treacherous move Hero made, but you know it's not surprising at all. Hero doesn't play by the rules. By the time Steve recovered his eyesight, he was already backed against the rocky wall of a hill, with Herobrine pointing his diamond sword in front of his throat, ready to slice it open.

"WAAAAAAIT!!!" You shout in desperation, unable to think of anything else. "Please don't kill him! You already won!"

Herobrine turns to face you, rising an eyebrow. "And?" He asks expecting you to say something convincing enough to spare Steve. "I... I will..." you pause and hesitate. "Yes?" Herobrine asks again, moving his sword closer to Steve's throat, making him flinch completely, unable to move. "I'll do whatever you want! Anything! Just ask!" you finally reply desperately.

"NO! DON'T!" Steve begs of you.

Herobrine grins widely, showing his sharp teeth, indicating he loved your reply. "Well, it looks like you got yourself a deal." He chuckles. "I'll spare him... for now." He snickers, as he moves his sword away from Steve, and walks in your direction. He now stands before you, towering above your head, making you feel as tiny as ever and intimidated. "Let's go somewhere far away, where we won't be disturbed." You suggest, with some wariness in your voice. Herobrine lifts your head slowly to look into your eyes. "I do like the sound of that." He smiles with a slight perverted look on his face.

While Herobrine was distracted with you, Steve takes out his enchanted bow, and aims it at Hero. You notice right away and shout, "STEVE, NOOOO!!!" trying to stop him, but his fire arrow shot had already left his hands, striking Hero form his back.

"AAARRGH!!!!" Herobrine shouts from the sudden stinging pain on his back, his shirt now catching on fire. His eyes glow even more brighter from anger, and turns around quickly. Without even taking the time to aim, he lunges his diamond sword at Steve, and by some cursed luck, striking his chest and piercing through his back, trapping him against the rocky wall surface.

Once again, time froze at that moment for you, as your eyes slowly widen. It happened so fast you felt that time itself was not fast enough. Herobrine proceeds to remove the arrow from his back, his teal shirt now completely burnt to ashes as Steve screams from the worst pain he could ever feel. Blood now dripping slowly from his mouth.

"NOOOO!" You try to run to Steve, but Herobrine holds you back by putting his right arm around your waist to hold you firm. Steve slowly lifts his head to get one last glance at you. He smiles at you, hinting he was happy - happy to have met someone like you. "I'll... n-never... forget... you...". His last breath escapes him as he slowly closes his eyes, and his body no longer moves.

"STEEEEEEEEVE!!!!!!!!!" you scream to the sky as countless tears rush down your cheeks. Herobrine feels your pain ever so greatly for the first time. Remaining silent for a moment, he finally replies, "You know I really didn't want to kill him, but he forced my hand." He says while finally loosening his hold on you. Though you were extremely upset, it seemed odd to you that Herobrine wasn't happy or celebrating Steve's death, but rather upset as well. You just could not comprehend his actions. Maybe he really didn't want to kill him. Maybe he just wanted to annoy Steve like he usually does. You are pretty sure he has killed Steve many times before, but this time somehow seemed different. Perhaps he felt your agony deep withing his cold heart.
